ZHU breaks his silence on Dreamland 2021 with ‘Sky Is Crying

ZHU has broken more than a year of silence on his next album, unveiling ‘Sky Is Crying’ with Yuna in a midnight drop on Astralwerks. The single arrives as the first taste of Dreamland 2021, due 30 April, after a year in which ZHU gave away no further details.

Where ZHU has built a reputation on darker material, ‘Sky Is Crying’ takes a lighter approach while keeping his cinematic touch. Dreamland 2021 will be ZHU’s third full-length, following 2016’s Generationwhy and 2018’s Ringo’s Desert.

Even as it addresses a year shaped by lockdowns and protests worldwide, the song keeps its brightness. The Grammy-nominated producer is coming off a strong 2020, after earlier hits ‘Faded’ and ‘In the Morning.’
