Justin Bieber releases sixth album Justice via RBMG/Def Jam

RBMG/Def Jam released ‘Justice’ on 19 March, following ‘Hold On’, Bieber’s most recent release on the label. The album marks his fastest turnaround yet — a little over a year after ‘Changes’, the record that had itself closed a five-year gap since 2015’s ‘Purpose’.

Producers from the dance scene share the tracklist. TroyBoi — the producer behind those trademark plucks and heavy 808s — contributes ‘Redeye’, a sultry, trap-leaning cut built around Bieber’s vocal, while Skrillex turns up on ‘Somebody’, where layered guitar chords push the track toward a poppier register. The album’s cover has drawn a formal complaint from the French duo Justice, who share the album’s name: their label, Ed Banger Records, has sent a cease-and-desist alleging the artwork copies the pair’s crucifix logo.
