UMEK and Cosmic Boys put out a new EP on 1605

‘Evolution’ opens the EP. UMEK teamed up with Cosmic Boys — a French duo rising fast in techno — for pulsing synths over rolling percussion, built around his usual groove. ‘Feels Like A Tunnel’ follows. A faster cut, made with Teenage Mutants: synths bursting out of a frantic melody, pushing the track along with urgency.

Both tracks are out now on 1605, UMEK’s own label — Cosmic Boys’ first release there. UMEK is credited with helping kickstart Slovenia’s electronic scene by organizing illegal raves early in a career that now runs past two decades.

UMEK, for his part, keeps splitting his time between the studio and the road. Cosmic Boys have built a name of their own too, with releases on their label Legend, and on others including Popof’s Form.
