Tony y Not makes her Kompakt debut with a new two-track EP

Tony y Not’s sound moves between acid techno, disco and house. She’s played sets at Amsterdam Dance Event, Brooklyn Mirage, fabric and Hï Ibiza, and a recent set at Time Warp NY marked her first appearance there. “Last year, I decided to bring my voice back into my music,” she says. The return lands on Kompakt with “Have You Lost Your Mind?” Tony y Not’s first release for the label, out 4 April.

The title track builds an energetic groove around a surprise mid-track break, stepping back to let her vocal take over and catch listeners off guard. The second track, “Deep Don’t Stop,” turns inward, built around losing yourself in the groove while taking stock of the chaos outside it.

Kompakt’s roster also includes Hunter/Game, Soela and Robag Wruhme. It’s her first release since “Give And Take,” 13 months ago.
