Anyma releases ‘Work’ with Yeat, his first on Anyma/Interscope Records

The scale of the Vegas Sphere has a sound to match on ‘Work.’ Anyma’s new single pairs his usual melodic-techno pull with clipped, futuristic verses from Yeat, the rapper. “Anyma’s artistry transcends traditional electronic music,” Rani Hancock said. It’s out now on Anyma/Interscope Records, the producer’s first release under that new deal.

‘Work’ premiered live during Anyma’s residency at the Sphere. That same run made history in a different way: Yeat became the first rapper ever to perform at the venue. Over 12 nights, the residency drew more than 200,000 people through the doors.

Weeks after the residency wrapped, Anyma signed a global publishing deal with Kobalt, the music-rights company — a move aimed at growing his wider Afterlife business. ‘Work’ will appear on Anyma’s forthcoming album, ‘The End of Genesys,’ which completes the trilogy that began with ‘Genesys’ and ‘Genesys II,’ also folding in the recent singles ‘Hypnotized,’ with Ellie Goulding, and ‘Voices In My Head,’ with Argy and Son of Son. The single itself landed on 4 April.
