Chris Lake’s debut album ‘Chemistry’ arrives via Black Book Records

Black Book Records has released Chris Lake’s debut album, ‘Chemistry,’ announced ahead of its 11 July arrival during Lake’s historic set at Coachella’s Campgrounds, the first time an artist has played there.
Lake cut his teeth on bootlegs and edits before his original material landed in progressive house, including a 2002 feature with Sia called ‘Drink To Get Drunk.’ By 2006, singles like ‘One Too Many’ and ‘Changes’ pointed toward the sound that would eventually carry him to major festival stages worldwide.
The album’s lead single, ‘In My Head,’ features Amber Mark, the soul and R&B vocalist, and first drew attention during Lake’s takeover set on Hollywood Boulevard alongside FISHER. A later single, ‘Ease My Mind,’ topped the ARIA Club Charts and passed five million streams on Spotify, while his collaboration with Ragie Ban, his fellow producer, ‘Toxic,’ reached number one on Beatport.
“This album has been a long time in the making, and it features some really special artists I’ve been lucky enough to work with,” Lake said. The title track, ‘Chemistry,’ pairs his production with vocals from Vera Blue.
