Tiësto brings in Stevie Appleton for BLUE

Tiësto closes out 2019 with ‘BLUE’, a single that lands as his thirteenth release of the year. The the year behind it have been spent largely in other people’s company (Jonas Blue, Rita Ora, Mabel and John Christian all appear on records he produced over the same stretch), and the new one arrives directly after Break My Fall. He has been one of the biggest names in the industry for more than twenty years, with a Grammy and platinum certifications behind him.

‘BLUE’ features Stevie Appleton on vocals, and the guitar is what carries the production. The melody is infectious and runs the track from one end to the other, with Appleton’s vocal sitting over the top of it, soulful and dreamy. It is a markedly stripped-back pop record, some way from the sound that made Tiësto’s name.

This looks to be the last anyone hears from him this year, and it is out today.
