Solomun’s Love Recycled label puts out ‘Love Recycled 4

Love Recycled, the label Solomun built out of his own track-reworking project, has released ‘Love Recycled 4,’ out 27 June. The single reworks a track by Change, pared back to its bassline and central vocal hook, then built out again with fresh chord changes and a new melodic line woven underneath.

Other artists are expected to follow, digging up overlooked tracks and reworking them with the same respect for the original material. “Now that Love Recycled has grown into its own label, the vision expands beyond Solomun himself,” the label said.

The series began in 2011, when Solomun kicked it off with a trio of house rebuilds drawn from pop and R&B — Michael McDonald’s 1982 hit ‘I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near)’ among them.
