RayRay and JVNA release ‘Butterfly’ via Barong Family

RayRay, a multi-talented performer, has built a rapid rise on the international dance scene over the past few years. That rise has been driven by a Red Bull Thre3style competition win, and by studio sessions alongside Skrillex, Steve Aoki and her future Barong Family labelmates, Yellowclaw. ‘Butterfly’ marks the first single from her upcoming debut album, ‘Unearthly World,’ expected later this year.

RayRay, who was born in Taiwan, teamed up with JVNA, a US-born Taiwanese producer, for the track, out now via Barong Family, Yellowclaw’s own label, on 28 October.

The track leans on hushed, breathy vocal work set over a moody low end, with serrated synth textures adding an edge, blending JVNA’s future bass instincts with RayRay’s melodic trap sound.
