Will Sparks releases Rebels Never Die tour ID ‘HARD’ on Revealed

Will Sparks pioneered Melbourne Bounce, a strain of EDM carrying the name of the city he is from, and he took it worldwide through Ultra, Creamfields and Tomorrowland. ‘HARD’, out now via Revealed Recordings, sits a very long way from that, and it is the ID people have been requesting off Hardwell’s Rebels Never Die tour. Set aside Hardwell’s own unreleased material and it was arguably the most requested track of the whole run. Most people know it as the track blended with the ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ acapella. If you caught a date on that tour, you have already heard it.
Sparks made his entrance on Revealed at the end of September with ‘Annihilate’, and ‘HARD’ arrives just over a month later, on 4 November, as the next of his for the label. The new one is a techno anthem with a hardstyle influence and an industrial finish, and it moves further again from the bounce of ‘Ah Yeah So What’. He began it immediately after ‘Come With Me’, with the intention of rebuilding that August original’s bass parts from nothing.
Sparks and Hardwell have an unreleased collaboration between them called ‘Twisted’, and the deluxe edition of Rebels Never Die is due later this year. ‘Twisted’ has been a fan favourite in Hardwell’s sets, so there’s one more ID outstanding.
