Yellow Claw’s Bassgod brings Ramengvrl to Barong Family

Barong Family, Yellow Claw’s own imprint, has spent the years since its 2012 launch building well past music — a merch line, writing camps across Asia, and a roster running from RayRay and Ricky West to Dirty Audio. Its newest single continues that expansion: “Bassgod,” out 22 January, pairs Yellow Claw with Ramengvrl, the Indonesian rapper, and label newcomers Sihk and Juyen Sebulba.

The track was assembled over a run of late nights working together in a Thai studio, built around a pounding low end and builds pushed to the edge — Barong Family’s most distinctively produced single yet. It follows the label’s previous release, “Amsterdam Trap Music, Vol. 3 (Remixes),” while the duo themselves last put out “I Want It.”
