Matisse & Sadko share new single ‘Meant To Be

STMPD RCRDS is starting its promised run of monthly releases. First up: Matisse & Sadko’s ‘Meant To Be,’ a demo four years in the making, out 12 February. The duo joined the label in 2017, and the track follows ‘Now or Never’ as their most recent release there.
Martin Garrix previewed it first, dropping the track as an intro ID during his set at Tomorrowland’s virtual New Year’s Eve show. It’s the duo’s first outing of 2021.
The track started as an instrumental, inspired by 1990s French electronic music, before vocals were added. It follows a run of dance-floor mainstays for the pair — ‘Dragon,’ ‘Forever,’ ‘Together’ — with a more nostalgic, melodic turn this time.
Matisse & Sadko played early versions live for years before the official release, including a set at ADE’s 2019 show, THE ETHER.
