Martin Garrix announces Sentio

Martin Garrix — Sentio artwork

Martin Garrix’s first club album Sentio arrived today through his own STMPD RCRDS, eleven tracks.

“During COVID I made zero club music because it felt weird to make festival music when there were no shows,” Garrix said. “When the shows came back I had so much new, revived energy that I made tons of new club music.”

Ten unreleased IDs featured in the Lollapalooza Chile performance that opened his 2022 touring, most of them tracks he’d spent the previous months teasing, and more followed at the Argentinian and Brazilian editions. The Ultra Music Festival appearance in Miami amounted to an advance showcase for the album. His summer schedule includes a residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza.

Sentio is his second album inside a year, arriving after the AREA21 debut assembled with Maejor, and the preceding two years yielded massive pop collaborations, Bono and The Edge of U2 and G-Eazy among them. Ahead of it came “Follow” alongside Zedd, “Limitless” with Mesto, the first original collaboration between them since “WIEE” in 2016, and “Reboot” with Vluarr, a newcomer to the label. Distortion sits across the house production on “Limitless”, synth lines riding over low piano chords while the bassline keeps moving underneath.

Brooks, Matisse & Sadko, DubVision, Julian Jordan, Justin Mylo and Blinders take credits across the rest of it. Shaun Farrugia closes the record on “If We’ll Ever Be Remembered”. Stream it below.
