EMI releases Gorgon City’s new album ‘Salvation

EMI has Gorgon City’s new album, ‘Salvation,’ out now via the label the duo have called home since 2014. Matt Robson-Scott and Kye Gibbon — who record as Gorgon City — have said the album took two years to make. It follows ‘Lost & Found,’ their most recent release on any label, which resurfaces here with DRAMA’s vocals over a bass-driven groove.

‘City of Angels’ and ‘Remember the Days’ close the record, with Jelani Blackman and Selah Sol carrying the vocals. Gorgon City marked the release with a show at London’s KOKO, featuring a run of surprise guests. Following the show, the duo head into their busiest touring year yet: a 16-week residency at Ibiza’s Amnesia, a sold-out Printworks date, and a return to Denver’s Red Rocks. Between it all, they carry ten BRIT-certified singles and more than 1.5 billion streams. The tour behind ‘Salvation’ opens at Poznań’s B17 on 8 September and wraps with two nights in Dublin on 8 and 9 December.
