Gorgon City announces AETHER

Gorgon City have set 13 November for the release of a new album, ‘Aether.’

The duo have been releasing music since 2012, and ‘Aether’ follows ‘Contact,’ their previous release across any label. Gorgon City are returning to the studio. The new material carries emotional weight, built on the garage-rooted pulse that has long run through the duo’s output and shaped the singles released ahead of it. Gorgon City called the album’s assembly unforced: “Aether came together so naturally, with no outside pressure,” they said.

That same personal register carried into how Gorgon City discussed the label itself. “Being able to release our next album, on our label REALM Records just feels different,” they said. The announcement also produced one new single, ‘Only Love,’ featuring Caroline Byrne, a singer-songwriter, and offered it as an early listen ahead of the full album. Stream it below.
