Excision readies fourteen-track album Apex

By the time Excision confirmed ‘Apex,’ most of the bass scene had already caught its lead single, ‘Gold (Stupid Love),’ the collaboration with Illenium and Shallows that arrived first on Excision Music — the label he’s released through since 2018 — well ahead of the album itself. The fourteen-track record, the follow-up to 2016’s legendary ‘Virus,’ lands on that same imprint 14 August, and it isn’t his first release there: ‘Gold (Stupid Love)’ held that spot before it.
Anticipation had been building since Excision, the genre’s reigning bass mainstay, confirmed the record was coming, and his tour continues alongside the release, with tickets on sale for stops near you. The guest list draws from some of bass music’s biggest names, continuing what ‘Gold (Stupid Love)’ put on display months earlier.
