Charlotte de Witte marks 15 years with ‘A Prayer for the Dancefloor

Charlotte De Witte — A Prayer for the Dancefloor artwork

Charlotte de Witte spent the last year touring behind her widely praised, self-titled first album. Now, marking her 15th year as an artist, she returns with ‘A Prayer for the Dancefloor,’ a new single featuring Conduit, arriving 5 February via KNTXT.

Conduit — whom de Witte met by chance on the Williamsburg Bridge in 2024 — wrote and delivered the track’s spoken-word lyrics himself. “This track is hopefulness in action,” he said. “It’s a prayer born from a chance encounter, and made real by the earnest love Charlotte and I share for the sweating heart of the dancefloor.”

Musically, Conduit’s delivery rides over churning techno, sharp acid lines and builds that keep tightening. The single anchors a three-track release, part of the album’s Deluxe Vinyl Edition, that also includes ‘Malina’. A remix of the title track, worked by Avalon & GMS, rounds out the set. De Witte marks the milestone with two sold-out shows at Flanders Expo on 6 and 7 February, ahead of 2026 tour dates including Tomorrowland Winter, Awakenings, Pitch Melbourne and Kappa Futur.

“All good things come to an end, but this one not quite yet,” de Witte said. “’A Prayer for the Dancefloor’ sums up the whole philosophy of the album.”
