Charlotte de Witte releases ‘Rave On Time

Charlotte de Witte’s new EP, ‘Rave On Time,’ is out now via KNTXT — her third of the year. The title track sticks to blunt, driving techno, built from a spare acid riff and a scattering of 90s-style hoover stabs. The closer, ‘Common Era,’ drops into softer synth textures and a choral break, easing off after the energy that came before it.
What’s new is where she’s playing it live. De Witte will stream a set from the Mogren Fortress in Budva, Montenegro, a structure built in 1860, through Exit Festival’s InfinitX project — a series placing touring artists inside striking, unlikely locations. It continues a run of similarly out-of-place broadcasts for de Witte, who has previously streamed from the medieval Gravensteen castle and from the rooftop of her own home in Belgium.
The EP arrives only through Beatport once the stream begins, and it lands as KNTXT’s fourth release of the year.
