Timbaland and IZA take the title track on Bruno Martini’s debut album Original

Timbaland and IZA share the credit on the title track of ‘Original’, the debut solo album from Bruno Martini. The record arrives today through Universal Music Ltda., and the same three names meet again later in the sequence on ‘Bend The Knee’ — one of seventeen tracks.

Martini is a platinum-certified producer whose sound is among the most recognisable to come out of South America. ‘Hear Me Now’, the global hit he made with Alok and Zeeba in 2016, has passed half a billion streams to date and still holds the mark for the most played Brazilian record on Spotify. Zeeba is back for two of the tracks here, and Luísa Sonza has two of her own.

The guest list runs on to the likes of Becky Hill and Magnificence, who take the second track, ‘Wake Up With You’. Timbaland’s credit turns up again on ‘Skin’, near the end of the running order. Pop, R&B, indie, house and hip-hop all find a place across the album.
