Trippie Redd sings on High, from Alison Wonderland’s Awake

EMI Recorded Music Australia released Alison Wonderland’s ‘Awake’ today, and ‘High’, which she made with Trippie Redd, is the fifth track on it. He sings it and the vocal leans emo, and Chief Keef turns up further down the record on ‘Dreamy Dragon’. BLESSUS, Buddy and Slumberjack take credits elsewhere.

The production is hers, and this might well be the best thing she’s put out since ‘RUN’. That record, her debut album, was the emotional one and it hit hard, and the singles that have come after it run brighter. House and bass are where the range sits, and neither trance nor hard dance gets a look in.

Before this, the last thing out under her name was ‘Church (The Remixes)’. ‘Church’ itself sits at track seven here.

Insomniac has an opening list of names out for EDC China, with Hardwell, Oliver Heldens and Tchami on it. If you are anywhere near it, she is on that first batch too, with Malaa and deadmau5. The festival’s opening edition lands later this spring.
