Alesso’s Without You is out via his new 10:22PM imprint

10:22PM/Geffen Records has put out Without You, and the choice of what to release wasn’t entirely Alesso’s. Offered three unfinished IDs to pick from, including a cut from Together Again Los Angeles and an earlier vocal fans had nicknamed Since I Found U, his following settled on this one as the follow-up to Caught A Body.

Without You landed on 2 June. Following a March set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, the single arrives ahead of tour stops across Spain, Norway and the Netherlands, and a return to Tomorrowland, this summer.

The track pairs a plaintive vocal — a line about carrying on without someone — with the swelling, string-lit synths and uplifting build that run through Alesso’s earlier progressive house work, a soaring register more pronounced here than on the club-facing single before it. That single admission carries the melody, built for a festival crowd to sing back. Vocal new, instrumental the one Alesso had already built.
