Above & Beyond release ‘Diving Out Of Love’ on Anjunabeats

Anjunabeats turns twenty this year, and Above & Beyond marked it with ‘Group Therapy 400’ — a set streamed live from a boat on the River Thames, marking both the label’s anniversary and the 400th episode of their Group Therapy show. ‘Diving Out Of Love’ arrives from inside that same run of celebrations, out 7 October on the label the trio has run since 2002. It had already surfaced once before, at ABGT350 in Prague nearly a year earlier, where it was one of the set’s more anticipated moments. It follows ‘Sun & Moon’, the trio’s most recent release anywhere, and comes after ‘10 Years Of Anjunabeats’ on the label itself.

‘Diving Out Of Love’ also marks Jono Grant’s return to lead vocals on an Above & Beyond track, the first time since ‘Is It Love?’ in 2018. The verse builds behind layered synth work before a drop that sits squarely within the trio’s usual register, and the extended mix runs past seven minutes.
