Vintage Culture reworks a Clash classic on Realm Records

“The Clash’s ‘Rock the Casbah’ is one of those songs that never loses its punch,” Vintage Culture said of the track, now reworked for release on Realm Records. “I wanted to pay homage to the original while also bringing my own sound to the track.” The rework keeps the original vocal hook from Joe Strummer, the Clash’s frontman, running it through Vintage Culture’s own rhythm section. “I’m proud of the final results and I hope fans will love it as much as I do,” he added.

Vintage Culture has released music since 2013, and this is his first release on Realm Records.

“Rock the Casbah” has already become a major highlight of his sets as he begins his 2023 world tour.

It’s Strummer’s vocal, still carrying the hook decades after The Clash first recorded it.
