Tchami releases Praise with Gunna ahead of debut album Year Zero

Tchami has released ‘Praise,’ a collaboration with rapper Gunna and the sixth single from his forthcoming debut album, Year Zero.
The album’s fifth single, ‘Faith,’ built around a sample of Marlena Shaw’s 1969 ‘Woman of the Ghetto,’ arrived at the end of September. It leans back toward the more traditional side of his sound he’d promised for the record, a contrast with his iconic set-closer, ‘Adieu.’ Shaw’s vocal carries the track, set against a future house foreground built around it.
Year Zero is Tchami’s debut album, arriving later this month on Confession, the label he’s called home since 2015. It also carries guest turns from ZHU, Chace, Todd Edwards and vocalist Stacy Barthe, who featured on his 2015 breakthrough single ‘After Life.’
‘Praise’ is out now via Confession. It’s Gunna’s first credit with Tchami, following his work with NGHTMRE on the trap single ‘Cash Cow’ last year.
