MPH & Skrillex reveal Mirage

‘Mirage’ unfolds across shifting sections, each carrying a different balance of MPH’s UK Garage instincts and Skrillex’s sound-design chaos. Neither artist’s fingerprint sits still for long. MPH, already one of UK Garage’s most in-demand names, previewed the track months earlier at EDC Las Vegas, where it left the crowd waiting; following that early show, the single landed on 14 August, out now via Disorder. MPH put it simply, describing how the pair worked: “Skrillex would do some bits and pass the laptop to me.”

MPH, after a summer spent on festival stages, heads into the biggest headline run of his career this fall, playing headline and festival dates across the US and Europe on a tour that opens 19 September at Copenhagen’s Pumpehuset. Skrillex, meanwhile, has two nights booked at Chicago’s Navy Pier alongside festival slots at Portola, Austin City Limits and Head Trip, after a year that has already taken him through Coachella, Glastonbury and Parklife.

The track’s vocal edits are sliced tight around a sample drawn from ‘ShellyAnn’, the early-2000s dancefloor staple by Jamaican dancehall artist Red Rat.
