Simina Grigoriu debuts on Drumcode with Flight Tracker

Simina Grigoriu makes her first appearance on Drumcode with Flight Tracker, out December 1st as part of the label’s twentieth volume of its A-Sides compilation series. It is her first release in nine months, after ‘1981’ elsewhere. Landing on Drumcode has been a long-standing goal: “I’ve known Adam for years, having first met him in Toronto in 2008, and I know how serious he is about his music,” she said. The track draws on Berlin club culture and is built for the after-hours end of a night. Flight Tracker carries her usual mix of crisp percussion, subtle melodic detail and a heady vocal hook running through the track. It caps a busy year for her across Europe’s techno bookings. Clif Jack, the Italian producer who has spent 2023 releasing on labels including Filth on Acid, opens the same compilation.
