RÜFÜS DU SOL release fourth album Surrender

RÜFÜS DU SOL have spent the autumn on the road, and their fourth studio album ‘Surrender’ arrives today. The Grammy-nominated trio release it through Rose Avenue, the label they run themselves, in partnership with Reprise and Warner Records. A handful of singles has preceded it over the year, the last of them ‘On My Knees’.

That track, the album’s third single, leans hard into the darker and more driving register the trio is known for; the brooding, contemplative character it carries has surfaced repeatedly across their catalogue. The group point to the industrial sonics of Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails, set against the lyrical intensity their career has been built on.

Two sold-out performances at Red Rocks Amphitheater came immediately before the release — the trio have been working through a stretch of summer and autumn festival dates. Returning to the stage for those slots has met considerable demand. The album lands two days before they play III Points, the Miami festival.
