Reinier Zonneveld releases fourth studio album Heaven Is Mad (For You)

Reinier Zonneveld’s fourth studio album, ‘Heaven Is Mad (For You)’, is out now via Filth on Acid, the label he has run since 2017. It follows Distorted Reality, the most recent record he issued on his own imprint, and lands more than a decade into a career that began in 2012.

Much of the album took shape not in the studio but on stage, worked out during live sets and across a touring schedule that has kept Zonneveld moving between clubs and festivals for years — the biggest artistic leap of his career so far, by his own description.

That schedule produced more than the album this year. Ahead of the release, in August, Zonneveld hosted his own festival, Karren Maar, in the Netherlands, and used the occasion to set a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous live electronic music set, running eleven hours and eleven minutes.

Zonneveld has said the album was built to work in more than one setting: as suited to a living room as to a car ride, a club floor or a festival crowd.
