Jacques Greene announces Presence on LUCKYME®

Jacques Greene has announced Presence, a new three-track record set for release on 16 October through LUCKYME.

Greene frames the shift plainly, in his own words: “This record moves away from concepts and follows an intuition for places where I wanted to be and where I would be wanted.”

The record takes its name from the title track, which itself doubled as the lead single released ahead of the formal announcement that confirmed the full project. ‘Presence’ runs three minutes and forty-seven seconds at a driving pace, before handing off from there to a pair of features. ‘Closer’ comes next, bringing in DJ BORING for the middle stretch, before umru, the producer, joins Greene to end the record with ‘What You Say.’

Greene wrote and recorded the material through a difficult stretch of personal upheaval, and its songs trace a path back toward the people and the places that gave him a renewed sense of purpose. That same instinct, he suggests, extends to the two guests he brought in for the record’s second half. Stream it below.
