Guy Gerber releases first solo EP since 2016 with What To Do

Guy Gerber has released ‘What To Do,’ his first solo material since 2016’s ‘Secret Encounters.’ The three-track EP arrives via Rumors — ‘Night Of The Gold Diggers’ and ‘Hummingbird Blues’ round it out — and follows ‘Here Comes The Rain,’ his most recent release there. Pete Tong, the BBC Radio 1 mainstay, gave the title track an early spin on his show back in February.

The title track sits low and hazy, percussion tucked in behind it. ‘What To Do’ moves at a different tempo than the big-room material that built Gerber’s reputation — unhurried, late-night, anthemic in scale. He’s worked with the likes of Dixon and Puff Daddy over the years, and opened Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics show at the Hollywood Bowl last year.
