Fred again.. and Jamie T release Lights Burn Dimmer

First teased back in 2024 ahead of Fred again..’s headline set at Reading Festival, “Lights Burn Dimmer” has only now arrived, out via Atlantic Records UK as his third release of 2026, after “Scared,” with Young Thug, and Hamdi’s dubstep remix of “OK OK.” The wait traces back to USB002, his ongoing collaborative series, launched last September on a commitment to ten songs, ten shows, ten cities and ten weeks.

Fred just wrapped the New York leg of that residency at East End Studios, sharing the stage across its final weekend with KETTAMA and BRUX on Friday and Caribou and Ben UFO on Saturday, before carrying the momentum into a two-week residency at London’s Alexandra Palace. The new single itself reworks a Jamie T original, trading its indie-rock frame for a heavier, electronic build that carries Jamie T’s own vocal on top.
