John Summit turns Tax Day into ‘CTRL ESCAPE

John Summit used to be an accountant in Chicago, and April 15 used to be the day he dreaded most, tax season and all. Now it’s the release date for his sophomore album, ‘CTRL ESCAPE,’ turning the old dreaded date into a marker for the career that replaced the spreadsheets. The album examines the friction between that corporate grind and the freedom of the dancefloor, drawing on Summit’s own tension between the two.
It comes via Darkroom Records and Summit’s own label, Experts Only, and follows his prior release there, ‘CHICA 305.’
Summit, one of the biggest names in dance music right now, has already built plenty of anticipation for the album. New singles are set to land every other Wednesday, all the way through to release day, giving fans something new to check for every couple of weeks. Anyone who’s been waiting since his last release won’t have to wait long for the next one.
