Fred again.. releases ‘HARDSTYLE 2’ on Atlantic Records UK

“Some songs I work on take months or even years… this is one of those ones that was about 27 minutes,” Fred wrote on Instagram, of ‘HARDSTYLE 2,’ which arrived on Atlantic Records UK on 31 October.

That quick turnaround sits inside a much longer rollout. ‘HARDSTYLE 2’ is the latest entry under the USB002 banner, a concept Fred started in 2022 with ‘Baby Again,’ ‘Rumble’ and ‘Jungle’ — an evolving series that adds a new piece for fans roughly every week.

It also marks the fifth stop on the USB002 world tour, following dates in Lyon and Paris, where Fred went back-to-back with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk at the Centre Pompidou.

The single is out via Atlantic Records UK, the label Fred has released through since 2019, following his last release there, ‘Facilita.’

KETTAMA supplies the grit that drives ‘HARDSTYLE 2,’ while Virji, the UK garage producer, brings the chugging low end and the swing of his signature bounce — the same one that carried his own breakout record, ‘Same Day Cleaning,’ out this past September.
