Hexagon’s 100th release is a Don Diablo track he had never put out

Hexagon has reached 100 releases, and the hundredth belongs to the producer who owns the label. Don Diablo put ‘The Rhythm’ out today, a track he had kept unreleased until the number came round.

“After four years I am proud to reach 100 releases on my HEXAGON label,” he said. “For the 100th release we wanted to do something special so we decided to release one of my secret DJ weapons as a surprise for the fans.”

The record is future house, and a genuinely powerful one — his own sound bent into something built for a club floor and made to send a room up. It doubles as an argument for his range. 2018 was his strongest run to date and he set out to top it this year, which so far is going his way.
