Dom Dolla reworks Puretone’s ‘Addicted To Bass’ on TMRW Music

Dom Dolla has taken Puretone’s 1998 anthem ‘Addicted To Bass’ and reworked it with a grittier groove, careful to keep the spirit of the original namesake intact. The idea resurfaced as he sorted through old music ahead of a headline set of his own, and once he heard the original again, he couldn’t put it down. That set was Dom Dolla’s December 2025 concert at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, where he became the first electronic artist ever to headline a stadium in Australia, and where this remix first surfaced live, months ahead of its release.
“This record was quite literally the soundtrack to my childhood,” Dolla said of a track that helped define Australia’s club scene, one of the most recognizable dance records to come out of the country. For Dolla, revisiting the track carries personal weight: he’s said he hopes the new version reaches a new generation the way the original reached him as a kid.
The rework is out now on TMRW Music, though the story behind it started decades earlier: Puretone’s original still carries the kind of weight in Australian dance music that few tracks from any era can claim.
