Diplo brings in Blanco Brown for ‘Do Si Do

Blanco Brown lends vocals to Diplo’s new single, ‘Do Si Do.’ Out now via Columbia. A harmonica line runs over a heavy bottom end, another entry in a run of guest-driven singles under Thomas Wesley, the cowboy persona Diplo adopted for the project.

The pivot started about a year back, following a guest set at a Stagecoach afterparty. Diplo carried it to the 2020 Grammys too, joining Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mason Ramsey and BTS on stage for a performance of ‘Old Town Road,’ after putting out his own remix of the song. It builds now to a full album: ‘Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil,’ his country debut, lands 29 May via RCA Records UK, already carrying previously released cuts, among them the Platinum-certified ‘Heartless’ with Morgan Wallen, ‘Lonely’ with the Jonas Brothers, and ‘So Long’ with Cam.

Diplo has called Columbia home since 2018.
