Crystal Skies debut on Ophelia Records with ‘Never Change

Crystal Skies — Britian Holcomb and Aaron Dawson — arrive on Seven Lions’ Ophelia Records with ‘Never Change,’ fresh off ‘Looking For You,’ a collaboration with WE ARE FURY for Lowly Palace. It landed 1 February — the duo’s first release on Ophelia. The track follows ‘Fall Apart’ on their previous label.

Ophelia is Seven Lions’ own imprint. Crystal Skies’ melodic bass sound has leaned on his catalogue for years, alongside AU5 and Koan Sound. Their earlier tracks ‘Closer’ and ‘Lost in the Sky’ work the same vein. The label’s roster already carries Seven Lions and Jason Ross. Crystal Skies join it with ‘Looking For You’ just behind them, heading into what looks like a breakout year. ‘Never Change’ brings back Gallie Fisher on vocals, her dreamy delivery riding over a heavier low end. She has spent studio time with the pair before. Crystal Skies have carried that same sound through remixes of Illenium’s ‘With You’ and Seven Lions’ ‘Calling You Home,’ the latter featuring Runn.
