Coyu follows ‘1+1’ with his first-ever album, You Don’t Know

Coyu has already put records out on Suara, his own imprint, but ‘You Don’t Know’ is different — seven years of studio work distilled into his first-ever album, which follows ‘1+1’, his most recent outing on the label.

This isn’t the club record you might expect from Coyu. ‘You Don’t Know’ opens with Lazarusman’s vocal on its title track and ranges beyond a single sound across its run, closing with ‘Unite’ — a techno cut carrying acid lines and percussion pushed hard enough to feel combative, Gabriella Vergilov featured on it.

Elsewhere the album carries guest turns from Mike Leary, The Horrorist and Thomas Gandey, spread across a record whose scope has been called career-defining for the Spanish producer.
