Hardwell debuts ‘Sanctuary’ live at Ultra, then releases it

Hardwell has released ‘Sanctuary’ via Revealed Recordings — the label he’s called home since 2010 — dated 11 April 2025.

At Ultra Music Festival — where Hardwell closed the mainstage on Saturday evening, his 11th appearance there — he had already opened his set with the track’s live debut, an anthem sweeping enough to pull the sprawling crowd into one synchronized wave of release, all cinematic tension and thunderous drops that mark a reawakening after years spent leaning into harder, more industrial-minded sounds.

Hardwell said, “Over the past few months, I found myself diving more and more into melodic structures and playing around with different soundscapes.” Of everything he had going, he added, “’Sanctuary’ was one I just couldn’t let go of.” Revealed marked its 1,000th release last year.

It follows ‘Loneliness’ overall and ‘Party Till the Daylight (TC Remix)’ on Revealed before it. The full Ultra set is now up on YouTube, ‘Sanctuary’ captured the way it first landed — live, mainstage, cinematic tension breaking into drop after drop.
