Charlotte de Witte reveals The Resistance on KNTXT. The

Charlotte de Witte’s ‘The Resistance’, a four-track EP, is out now via KNTXT, released on 24 September. The project doubles as the soundtrack to her audiovisual live show of the same name, following the ‘Amor’ EP and the single ‘A Prayer for the Dancefloor / Malina’, both released on KNTXT earlier this year in a prolific run for the Belgian artist. It arrives with features from Theo Nasa and XSALT. Nasa supplies the vocal on the title track, and XSALT returns for a fourth collaboration with de Witte on the EP’s second cut, ‘See Through The Lies’.
De Witte debuted an expanded “XXL” staging of the show at Rock Werchter in July, before a crowd of more than 40,000, capping a summer-long run of the production across European stages. Proceeds from the release go to The Nighttime Foundation, a nightlife advocacy group. Georgia McDonnell-Adams said the EP “tells every venue, crew and dancer that they are worth protecting.” The EP closes with ‘Another Place’, built on a lyric de Witte composed roughly ten years before recording it and a vocal that opens in a whisper. It gathers into full voice as the EP ends.
