Charlotte De Witte returns to KNTXT with ‘Asura EP

KNTXT, Charlotte De Witte’s own techno label, has put out the three-track Asura EP. The release lands weeks after her Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 on 18 September, in the same year she was named winner of the Alternative Top 100 DJs poll.
Spacey textures add an eerie edge, with the vocals cutting back in to offer a moment of calm inside an otherwise chaotic mix. An acidic breakdown gives way to the drums returning, built to sweep a festival crowd along with it. Choir vocals run through it too, lending a cinematic pull as De Witte pushes forward into the night.
De Witte has also forged a new alliance with Apple Music, curating a monthly KNTXT Residency Mix and a KNTXT Active series exploring links between dance music, sport and tempo. She recently remixed ‘The Age Of Love’ alongside fellow producer Enrico Sangiuliano, continuing her A&R work for the label. The EP includes ‘Asura,’ ‘Soma’ and ‘Stigma.’
