Ben Böhmer releases Hiding with Lykke Li

Ben Böhmer teamed up with Lykke Li for ‘Hiding’, released 9 July on Ninja Tune. Her vocal fronts the title track, and the release marks a genuinely rare return for her — her first original recording since 2019. Sweden’s Grammis awards have gone her way more than once, across a career spanning more than two decades.

Böhmer has released music on Ninja Tune since 2023, and his previous outing on the label was ‘Best Life’, now folded into ‘Hiding’ as its second track. Jonah is credited on ‘Best Life’. The release closes with a new track, ‘One Last Call’, credited to Felix Raphael.

Böhmer is closing out a North American run with stops at Lollapalooza and Portola before continuing on to Australia, with shows set in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The title track pairs Böhmer’s layered pads and melodic build with Li’s vocal, set against a crisp, broken-beat rhythm — a blend of indie and pop textures folded into his usual electronic production. ‘Best Life’ and ‘One Last Call’ complete the release, closing out a three-track set on which every cut carries a guest credit.
