Armin van Buuren and AVIRA close their EP with ‘Mask

Armin van Buuren and AVIRA had already put out ‘Hollow’ and ‘Illusion’ together. ‘Mask’ closes out the pair’s three-track EP, Hollow Mask Illusion, released 18 September on Armind.

Sam Martin sings lead on ‘Mask.’ It’s not his first time working with Armin — he’s returned to sing on van Buuren’s tracks before, and this closing entry brings that voice back once more.

AVIRA called the collaboration a chance “to bridge the gap between all genres,” pointing to a shared pull across techno, trance and everything between. Armin, for his part, said “’Mask’ is a great example of me feeling free to write about the things I feel, both good and bad. Music has always been an outlet for me to pour my emotions into and now I have found a way to do this with words as well.” Stream it below.
