SVDDEN DEATH and SLANDER pair up on ‘Blood On Me

‘Blood On Me’ meshes SVDDEN DEATH’s crushing signature bass with SLANDER’s more emotional touch, landing heavier than most of SLANDER’s recent work even as it marks a return to the pair’s bass-music roots. A gripping vocal line typical of SLANDER’s projects runs against a darker undertone from SVDDEN DEATH, closing the track on a heavy drop. Between the three producers, it stands as one of the hardest tracks either camp has put out this year.

SVDDEN DEATH and SLANDER released the collaboration on 21 August via Gud Vibrations, a bass-music imprint. The pair first previewed the track months earlier during a back-to-back set streamed live on Insomniac’s channel, confirming afterward that a full release was coming.

With touring shut down for most of the year, both acts have leaned on the studio, steadily putting out new material and live streams in its place.
