Steve Angello releases HUMAN, his first album since Wild Youth

Steve Angello’s second album, ‘HUMAN’, is out today on Size Records. Fans have waited years for it, and two of those years ran on teasers and ID tracks — the ones nobody in the crowd could put a name to — turning up in his festival sets. By now the excitement is about as high as it gets. It’s his first major body of work since ‘Wild Youth’ in 2014.

The debut ran to thirteen tracks and it was an audacious one. He’s come a long way since Swedish House Mafia split. ‘Paradiso’ was the last thing out under his name anywhere, and ‘Nothing Scares Me Anymore’ the one before it on Size.

He played snippets of it himself not long ago, and what came through the previews was that unique sound of his, finely tuned over the years. Dance floor records all through this one. Six singles arrived late last year to pass the time, and every one was well received.

One of those clips brought back a lead from ‘Tiger’, off ‘Wild Youth’. Very familiar. It seems to have made it onto one of the new tracks, and you can work out for yourself whether it’s the same one. Stream it below.
