Mind Against release Dreamcast on Afterlife

A thumping kick drives Dreamcast, layered under fuzzed synth lines and slow, choral chords that carry most of its weight. Off-beat, clanging accents cut against the main pulse throughout, catching the ear again on every pass instead of settling into a fixed pattern. Mind Against released the single on 16 December through Afterlife, the label the act has called home since 2017.

Mind Against have been on Afterlife since 2017. The record before it, Changes / Closer, arrived on the same imprint back in 2021 as a multi-track EP.

The choral wash sits over a steady house pulse for most of the record, the kind of build suited to an early-to-peak set. Clanging accents keep resurfacing through Dreamcast, pulling the ear back each time they land.
