Martin Garrix’s Ytram alias lands ‘Alive’ with Citadelle

Epic Amsterdam has ‘Alive’ out today, the third Ytram single of the year. Martin Garrix’s alias, deep and tech house. He announced it at Tomorrowland in 2017 and then left the people who wanted that sound waiting a very long time for it. Music under the name only started arriving this year, through Garrix’s own STMPD RCRDS, and it has kept coming steadily ever since.
‘Alive’ is tech house as well and it runs dark, built to move, with more feeling in it than that makes it sound. It goes darker than either of the two before it.
‘Make You Mine’ with Bleu Clair arrived in July as the alias’s debut. ‘Fire’ with English producer Elderbrook came after it, and each release has gone a little newer and a little more complicated than the last.
2020 has been an unpredictable year end to end and Garrix has used that to his advantage. In the run-up to Tomorrowland’s first New Year’s Eve festival he has said he’ll play a lot of unreleased music and new things that sound different, so if you’re watching that one you’re getting it first.
Of the three Ytram singles, Citadelle got the one with the most Martin Garrix in it. </content> </invoke>
