Lane 8 closes out Brightest Lights with ‘Just’ on This Never Happened

This Never Happened will release Lane 8’s ‘Just’ on 10 January, the concluding single from Goldstein’s forthcoming album, Brightest Lights.

The single is a melodic house cut, its groove anchored by a vocal line that loops and shifts throughout; the arrangement opens quietly before layered percussion gives way to synthesizer washes, euphoric in tone. The release lands as Goldstein prepares for a 2020 tour spanning North America and Europe, the largest run of shows he has undertaken to date.

Goldstein continues to sign new talent to This Never Happened alongside his own catalogue. He closed out December releasing several singles of his own alongside the label’s Winter 2019 mixtape, on which ‘Just’ premiered as the opening track.

Goldstein accompanied the standalone release with a reflection on the decade behind him and the concept driving the single. Brightest Lights is available for pre-order ahead of its release, and tour dates for the run are listed on Goldstein’s website.
