Ekali sets a release date for A World Away

Big Beat Records/Atlantic has set January 24 for Ekali’s album, A World Away, the record he’s spent 2019 building toward across a string of singles that led into it. The tracklist pairs new collaborations with solo Ekali cuts. Its date arrived alongside a music video for ‘Hard to Say Goodbye,’ his most recent outing on the label since he signed there in 2019.

The A World Away tour runs through February into March, beginning shortly after the album’s own release date. It arrived in the same wave of news as the album itself, opening February 6 in Seattle.

This is the busiest stretch of his career so far, after a year built on one single after another. He first said the album was coming before the end of 2019, without a day attached to it. January 24 is the first time he’s put one there.
