James de Torres debuts on Impressum with ‘Kilimanjaro

Impressum has folded James de Torres’ ‘Kilimanjaro’ into ‘Symbiosis Four, Pt. 1’, his first appearance on the imprint. The nine-track collection landed on 31 July.

Fideles have championed ‘Kilimanjaro’ at their live sets and on their official charts. ‘I have known Daniele and Mario for many years, have been with them in several countries, hanging out, always coming to support and laugh and enjoy some great moments,’ de Torres said.

The release lands on the back of a strong year for de Torres, one milestone following another across the studio and the road. It follows ‘Let Me Drown,’ his third record for the German label Einmusika Recordings and among the strongest performers of his career, now closing in on 100,000 streams on Spotify.

‘To me as a Spanish person, it is really important the Argentinian market so I am trying to push that scene as much as possible,’ de Torres said. He has spent the year headlining well beyond the studio: dates in Argentina promoted by Levels and ShowMe, and a set at the Tomorrowland Store Ibiza.
